November Favourites

I can't believe it's December already! Not only has the past month flown by but this year is nearly over in the blink of an eye! With the end of the month brings a monthly favourites post.

I couldn't wait to finish my Soap & Glory moisturiser to get using this. The first day I used it I fell in love with it, my body feels moisturised all day and I smell like a walking mojito! You need to rub a bit of it in your hands first before applying it to your body as this makes it go on more evenly. After applying it mum has asked me what I had put on as I smelt nice which is always a good compliment to hear. This body butter costs £14 for 200ml but keep an eye out as The Body Shop always has offers on.

I got this in a Latest In Beauty beauty box and I would definitely repurchase it separately. It contains Shea butter, seaweed extracts and macadamia nut oil to moisturise and soften your hands and it also contains myrrh to help condition nails and cuticles which is an added bonus. With the winter months and colder weather approaching my hands are so dry at the minute so when I seen this was in the beauty box I was delighted. As soon as I put it on my hands feel instantly nourished and it doesn't leave an oily residue which I hate with hand moisturisers. It is quite dear at £15 for 100g but it definitely an amazing hand cream.

No words can describe how excited I was when I seen this was coming out! I got it when I was in Belfast and it has been my go to palette since! With a mixture of matte, metallic and shimmer colours there is something for everyone!  Dirty Sweet and Smolder are my two favourite colours in the palette, Dirty Sweet is medium bronze and Smolder is a deep plum - taupe. This palette is £38 and is definitely worth investing in.

After my favourite foundation got discontinued I tried a few different foundations and was never fully happy with them until I found this little wonder! Dream Satin Liquid from Maybelline is not too greasy or too drying on the skin which is great for my combination skin. I got it in the shade fawn which is a lovely colour but I think I could have got away with a lighter shade. It is £7.99 in boots and usually is on offer at 3 for 2.

I have saved the best to last. The Clarisonic Aria is a miracle worker! I will be writing up a full review of it at the end of this week as I have been using it for a month now and I can give an honest review of it. I honestly wouldn't be without this and would repurchase it if it broke tomorrow. It is quite expensive at £150 but I shopped around and found one on eBay for £75 which was a great bargain and it's definitely worth the hefty price tag.

This month I am absolutely loving this show. Is is about lawyer Patty Hewes who in each series takes on a major case. She hires recent law school graduate Ellen Parsons and it's so interesting to see the relationship between the pair of them as it's so complex. It finished in 2012  and with 5 series it will keep me occupied for a while. I would definitely recommend watching it, there's so many twists and turns in it you never knownwhat is going to happen next.

I'm totally loving that Adele is back, and her new stuff is so good. Anyone who hasn't listened to her new album yet get on the ball and do it. Graham Norton did a special TV programme with her a few weeks back and it was so good. She really is just a down to earth girl who just happens to have an amazing voice.

Throwback Thursday

It's time for the second installment in my mini series. This week it's 1995 to 1999

Some really good music out in this 5 year period.
Gangstas Paradise by Coolio
Wannabe by The Spice Girls
Barbie Girl by Aqua
C'est La Vie by B*Witched
Praise You by Fatboy Slim

Such a cheesy pop era but I loved it! No one can say they listen to C'est La Vie and don't say the "I fight like me da" line! Every girl loved The Spice Girls and wanted to be them, it was the first girl band and everyone had their favourite spice girl.

Next up is films
Toy Story
Jerry Maguire
Austin Powers
Something About Mary
Fight Club

Can't believe these films are as old as they are, Toy Story only seems a few years old! Fight Club is such an amazing film, every time I watch it I see something new that I've missed previously. This started me with an obsession of Chuck Palahniuk, I seriously recommend you read some of his books! One line that can't be forgotten from Jerry Maguire " Show Me The Money!" Such a classic film, even watching the trailer makes me love it!

Now it's time for TV programmes, so many good shows!
Father Ted
Ballykissangel
Ally McBeal
Sex & The City
Bad Girls

Also who can forget Saturday mornings waking up early just to watch Live & Kicking and SM:TV?! Father Ted is such a great show, I still watch all the episodes now and laugh as hard as I did the first time I watched it! Also Ally McBeal and Sex & The City, two cult classics that I can still watch today and love them just as much!

Ah I totally forgot about this clip, I now want to go and watch this from the very start!

So there you have it for another throwback to the 90s, I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I have writing it. Leave me a comment to tell me about your favourites from back in the day.

Throwback Thursday

Who says throwback Thursday has to be for Instagram or Facebook I want to bring it to my blog! For the next four weeks I'm going to be doing a throwback to the nineties and noughties taking it in four installments. This week I'm starting with 1990 - 1994!

First up let's talk about music, if you aren't dancing around your room singing into a hair brush by the end of this you need to re-evaluate your life!

Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice
It's In His Kiss by Cher
Rhythm Is A Dancer by Snap!
I'd Do Anything For Love by Meat Loaf
Saturday Night by Whigfield

Even trying to pick five songs for this was hard, so many tunes that I haven't heard in forever. I was totes singing away writing this!

I love 90s films so much so that I still watch them if they come on TV now. When I was looking through all the different films I can't believe they've been out that long, it feels like only yesterday I was watching the genie work his magic in Aladdin!

Home Alone
My Girl
Sister Act
Mrs Doubtfire
Forrest Gump

I HAD to put this trailer up, watching it makes me miss Robin Williams so much.

TV programmes is next, some of them I had forgot about!
Crystal Maze
Clarissa Explains in All
Gladiators
Saved By The Bell
Friends

Ah I loved watching Saved By The Bell on a Saturday morning. Getting up early and watching Live and Kicking is what it was all about! And Crystal Maze, everyone wanted to be on that gameshow, my favourite bit being at the end where they had to grab all the money blowing around them!

I hope you all enjoyed my throwback this week, I certainly enjoyed writing it. It makes me feel so old that all these things that I thought were from only a few years back are actually over 20 years old! I'd love to hear all your memories from then and let me know what you thought of the throwback post.

Everyday Beauty Tips

This is a quick little blog post with handy little beauty tips that everyone will benefit from, and you can do them with bits found around the house.

Flaky dry lips? Always exfoliate your lips at least once/twice a week, you can do this so many ways! I personally use the bubblegum lip scrub from lush, just because it is so good and it tastes/smells yummy! But you can also get rid of those flaky lips with a toothbrush and lip balm or your make own home made scrub, there are so many recipes online! If you are a regular lipstick wearer you cannot get away without exfoliating that pout, lipstick applies so much better and looks better without all those flaky bits attached.

Nail broke really far down? Here's a little tip that you can do until it grows up a bit before breaking it off. Cut off a corner of a teabag and superglue it to the area that the nail is broke. This will keep it strong until it grows up a little bit and it will keep your nails from looking all wonky! My nails always tend to break when I have plans at the weekend and instead of ruining my manicure I do this before painting them and no one is any the wiser!

Dark circles under your eyes? Use an orange based concealer under your foundation to conceal them! The orange will neutralise the colour of the dark circles and then you can start with a clean pallette for doing your foundation. Equally use green concealer on red spots as green is opposite on the colour wheel and will neutralise the redness.

Dry skin or hair? Use coconut oil! Yes this is not just for cooking it also is great for getting rid of dry skin! My mum used it on her hands as she had then driest of skin and had tried everything; that was the first thing that cleared it up! Within a matter of days her hands had made a great improvement, we couldn't believe it! You can also use it as a lipbalm, face moisturiser or even use it on dry damaged hair, just make sure its washed out well!

Puffy tired eyes? Use cold green tea bags on them and chill out for a while. The caffeine can help reduce the appearance of blood vessels and the natural antioxidants may reduce inflammtion.

Want your lipstick to last all day? Once you apply it place a tissue over your lips and dust a large brush with translucent powder over the tissue. This will help asbsorb any of the excess oil that can make the lipstick slip off. Also I swear by a primer, I can't apply my lipstick without it!

Blinder of a spot? I read this tip recently online and have not tried it out myself yet but two of my friends have and were amazed that it worked! Put Vicks Vapo Rub on your spot before bed, now when I said this to a friend recently she didn't believe it would work but I got a text one morning from her saying she had tried it the night before and her spot had started to clear up! Also a big tip when it comes to spots is don't pick and squeeze them, your hands carry bacteria so your obviously going to make it worse by spreading that bacteria over it!

Want soft and smooth legs? Always exfoliate your legs before shaving. This gets those tiny little hairs that get stuck beneath your skin out and will leave you with nice smooth legs. Also don't waste money on expensive shaving foams, conditioner or coconut oil works just as well.

Weak nails? Always keep your cuticle hydrated, the more you hydrate your cuticles the stronger your nails will be.

Greasy hair? We would all be lost without dry shampoo right? Best tip I ever got was to spray it on your hair before bed! As you toss and turn in bed it will help absorb it in and you won't be left with that unsightly grey powdery look you get sometimes!

Cosmetics tube empty? I don't think so!! Cut the tube open and you will be shocked at how much product is left at the bottom of the tube. I can guarantee at least another weeks worth of product is hiding in there!

Last tip and probably the one you should pay most attention to! Always, always, ALWAYS wear SPF! Whether it be in your face cream or your foundation always make sure there's an SPF in there somewhere! In summer I would always use an SPF of 30 and then in the winter I would use an SPF of 15. I can not stress this enough, it slows down the development of aging skin, helps to prevent skin discolourations and brown spots and it also protects your face from the suns harmful rays.

Body Shop Splurge

The Body Shop recently had 40% off all their products including sale and promotional items so of course I had to go and treat myself!

Obviously I had way more in my basket then I had to think realistically and took half of it out!
First up is their body butter, I can not recommend this stuff enough! It's so moisturing and you can get the smell of it all day. I got four of them, two of which are the same and were sale items and worked out at £3.90 each with the 40% off which is a complete bargain considering the are usually £14 each!

I love the coconut one, it always reminds me of holidays. The coconut shimmer one is really nice too and that was one of ones that I ditched from my basket as I wouldn't wear it day to day. The other two I got was 'honeymania' and 'virgin mojito'. Although the coconut is a favourite of mine the virgin mojito is amazing, how they managed to encapsulate the smell of one of my favourite cocktails is beyond me but it is soo good! I always hate having to pick the body butters especially when I'm in the store as I genuinely spend about half an hour smelling every single one and then still can't decide!

Now this is new to me as I've never really tried their skincare range before other than the tea tree face wash when I was younger. I have recently bought a clarisonic cleansing brush and I was looking online as to which was a good cleanser to use with it and someone had recommended the Seaweed Purifying Cleanser. When I went on the website I seen it was for combination skin and thought perfect this is just what I need in my life! So straight away I added it to the basket, when I was on the cleanser page I also seen the Vitamin E Cleanser and seen it was their best seller so added it in as well in case me and the seaweed cleanser didn't agree with each other. They both don't have heavy scents which I like especially when it is going on my face, the vitamin e cleanser smells like Johnson's Baby Lotion which is a smell I have always loved. I haven't used either of them yet as I got sample of the clarisonic cleanser with my brush that I'm finishing up before I move onto these.
I'm going to do a review on my clarisonic brush when I have used it for a while as I have only had it for a week and I don't think that I can give a true review of it after a week.

I'm just about out of night cream and seen the seaweed night treatment and thought I'd give it a go especially as it is another of their best sellers. I haven't tried this yet as my current night cream is still hanging in there but I can't wait to try it as the reviews for it were so good.

That's it for my Body Shop haul and as you can see I did restrict myself to the necessities (yes I did need four body butters!) Before I took some of it out I had over £100 and that was with the 40% off! All of the products I bought came to £43.80 which was amazing for all that I got! I also then got free shipping because I had sent over £30 which is always great.

At the minute The Body Shop are doing a Christmas promotion which is £25 off when you spend £50 which is half price, how good is that! I've always loved The Body Shop as their products are amazing and more importantly they are a fair trade company.

April Favourites

As always I'm a couple of days late with my monthly favourites!

This is my favourite lip combo at the minute. Mac's Pink Nouveau teamed with New Look's pink lip liner. I struggled for a long time trying to find a liner that matched this lipstick but this is perfect. This colour is great for someone that wants colour on their lips but not something that's too mad.

New look has recently brought their makeup range in to my local store and of course I was a like a magpie when I seen it! I will be doing a full review on what I've bought in a couple of posts.

This is the most moisturising hand cream ever! I use it every night as its quite oily and it has a chance to sink into my skin. It's become part of my night time routine and as soon as you put it on your hands feel instantly nourished. This hand cream is made with a combination of shea, peanut cashew and almond butters which make it a heavy duty moisturiser. It's £7.99 for a 100g pot and when I say a little goes a long way I'm not exaggerating so the tub will last a lifetime. Lush's products are great as they are all made from natural ingredients so won't irritate the skin.

After reading my last post you won't be surprised to see this in my favourites this month! This is on & on bronze and my favourite shade in the 24hr color tattoo eye shadows. It's can be used alone or with other eyeshadows to create different looks.

This is by far the best setting powder ever invented! As a girl with combination skin an oily t-zone is a daily struggle and this is my miracle product. I will be doing a full review of it so be sure to keep an eye out for it.

After losing my ELF blush brush on a night out I needed to get a new one and quick and with Eyes Lips Face now closing they didn't have my blusher brush on their site. I had seen a few people rave about how good the EcoTools blusher brush from Boots was. So off I popped to my local store to get it and it's a steal at £7.99. I love this brush, it blends any blusher out so your not left with a big splodge of colour on your cheeks. This has me now wanting to  try out a few of their other brushes.

After a few people telling me they liked my additions of my TV show and music of the month I have decided to add it again.

Slightly addicted to House at the minute, so much so I spent the whole of Sunday watching it on Netflix! House is an American medical drama that ran for 8 seasons from 2004 to 2012. House is a medical genius who takes on rare cases that no one can seem to cure and breaks hospital rules and procedures to cure the patients. Anyone who hasn't seen this show needs to. It's a great watch which has me saying after every episode "just one more episode".

James Bay is one hell of a musician and I was gutted I missed out tickets for his tour. This is my favourite song by him and when I have his album on I have a tendency to skip this back a few times before finally moving on to the next song.

So there you have it for my April favourites. Until next month and don't forget I love hearing your favourites too.

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadows

After finding out about these eye shadows through blogs and reading about how good they were I decided to give them a try for myself. They are amazing and I need to share them  with all of my readers. I bought them from Boots on the 3 for 2 offer which is still on.

They are lovely creamy eye shadows that give you time to blend them before they dry but once dry the don't budge all night. I wore them on a day out to Belfast and I had it on from 10.30 in the morning until 12 that night plus I had bopped about for an hour and a half at the McBusted concert and my eye-shadow was perfect before I took it off!

I'm going to do swatches of the colours that I have and give a brief description of them.

Pink Gold This is a beautiful rose gold colour with a lovely shimmer to it. This is lovely when put over the whole eyelid and then use black in the outer corner of the eye.

Endless Purple This is the most amazing colour and has a slight shimmer to it but not too much.

Creamy Beige This beige colour has a subtle gold shimmer which is barely noticeable and it's a lovely colour for any look you want to achieve.

Metallic Pomegranate This colour is bard to describe; it's a reddy purple brown shade and has gold glitter through it. This so nice alone.

Timeless Black This is a matte black and so pigmented. This would be great to use as an eyeliner as it is so matte and won't budge.

Vintage Plum This is a dusty lavender colour with grey undertones, it has a matte finish. It needs a couple of layers as the first one applies quite patchy.

Turquoise Forever This is the reason I wanted to get these, it the most amazing turquoise colour with a slight shimmer in it.

On & On Bronze This bronze shade is amazing it has a foiled finish which is all in at the minute. This is definitely one my favourites followed closely by the next shade.

Eternal Gold This gold colour has the most amazing foil finish. It is so nice when applied all over the eye and then apply black or a dark brown to the crease.

That is all the shades I have at the minute. They come in a little glass pot and have a tendency to dry out so make sure the lids are always closed properly. These are so highly pigmented you will only need one or two coats of them. I apply these with my finger then blend the edges with a brush. Because they dry so quickly I tend to do one eye at a time. Anyone who hasn't tried these eye shadows yet I can't recommend them enough! Every one raves about Mac Paint Pots these are the cheaper and better version. At £4.99 each they are definitely a beauty steal.

L'Oreal Infallible Foundation Review

So when I found out Boots decided to discontinue L'Oreal Nude Magique Eau De Teint I was gutted. It's the only foundation I have found that I had no complaints about; it really was the perfect foundation. Of course I had to find something new to replace my foundation and quick as the bottle was nearly empty. I always use Mac foundation for nights out but on a day to day basis I use a drugstore brand as they do the job for daily wear.

So off I popped to my local boots with a swatch of my current foundation on my hand to try and replace it. I came across L'Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation for £6.99. I thought because it was L'Oreal it would be a good replacement for the Nude Magique. There are 6 different shades in this foundation online but only 4 in my local store which didn't give me a great selection to choose from. I got it in the shade Sand which was a good match and got the primer to go with it.

I had read reviews on this and everyone was saying how good it was so I was looking forward to trying it especially as I have an oily T-Zone and the reviews were saying this was great at combating shiny areas on your face.
It has really good coverage and is a lovely colour, a great match to my skin. I thought it might have been a bit cakey on my skin as it has quite a thick texture but it is really smooth and isn't cakey at all. You have to work with it quick as it does dry on the skin quite quickly so if you buy it make sure and blend it in quick.

Now to the main reason why I bought it; it saying it stays matte for 24 hours. Why you would be wearing foundation for 24 hours is beyond me but whatever floats your boat! I was so disappointed with the foundation for this reason, my T-Zone was so shiny with this foundation and that's after setting it with powder. I looked at my reflection at work after 4 hours wearing it and couldn't believe how shiny my nose was! Thank god for translucent powder!

Overall this foundation is really nice but I think I may try out a few other foundations as I'm not fully happy with it. I seen that Maybelline has a foundation that's similar to the Nude Magigue so I might give that a try next. Any recommendations welcome as I'm on the hunt to find one as good as Nude Magique.

Life Without My Blog

Sorry I've been away the past week or so. My tablet broke and I had to send it away to get fixed and my phone is not great for updating my blog.  I have ended up better in the long run as they couldn't fix my little Google nexus and I got a refund so I decided to change and got the LG G Pad to replace it.  I love it,  the picture is amazing and the sound is far better than my old tablet.
Over the past couple of weeks I've missed out on so many blogs; my monthly favourites,  reviews and a little post about my trip to the zoo.

Now that I'm back online with my shiny new tablet I will be making up for all the blogs I've missed out on.

Karma Bracelets

I thought I'd share with you a local jewellery brand that I discovered on one of my many trips to Belfast. We were in Argento and as my friend looked at the Pandora charms I had a nosey around at the rest of the sparkly things in the shop.

I came across these beautiful bracelets in the style of the Alex & Ani but these were handmade in Belfast. I had to get one, maybe two! I got my friend to look at them when she came over and she instantly wanted some as well. I finally decided on the silver anchor bangle and the turquise beaded bangle. The bangles are all £18.50 and the beaded one range from £15.

After a couple of weeks I seen they had a 3 for 2 offer on so on my next visit to Belfast I called into Argento to make use of this offer and got another three. The gold shamrock bangle, the silver music note bangle and then I got the silver leaf bangle for free.

I wear them altogether with my Pandora bracelet and it makes for some pretty arm candy. When I wore them at the weekend I got complimented on them quite a number of times. I have my eye on a few more of them and will definitely be purchasing more of them in the future. The beaded ones are so pretty and there's some lovely colours. I think my next one will be the Claddagh one, it's lovely and I wanted a Claddagh charm for my Pandora bracelet but unfortunately they don't have one so this is the next best thing. I think the Claddagh bracelet will look lovely with my shamrock bangle and my turquoise beaded one.

You can buy these on line from Argento or directly from Karma. You can also purchase them in the Argento store. I like this company as they are handmade in Belfast, and they support local charities with the sale of every bangle.  I always like to see home grown talent and I definitely recommend you check them out.

Beauty Wants & Needs

Everyone has a little wishlist of beauty products that they need to have in their life. I've decided to share my ever expanding wishlist with my lovely readers.

Ben Nye - Banana Powder
If it's good enough for Kim Kardashian it's good enough for me! Kimmy K uses Ben Nye's Banana Powder to highlight her face with and I'm dying to try it out. I've read so many reviews and looked at so many swatches of the Banana Powder and all the different Ben Nye powders I feel I know them inside out. Anyone who wants more information on this product here is a great page that has everything you need to know on it.

The Balm - Mary Lou Manizer
I've yet to read a bad review for this product, this product is amazing. I've recently found out superdrug sell it online so I might just have to purchase this next payday.

Mac - Bao Bao Wan Lavender Jade lipstick
Isn't this the most amazing colour of lipstick ever! As with all the Mac collections this was sold out as soon as it hit the shelves! The prices on Ebay are double the price which is ridiculous.

Crown Brush - Brow Palette
This eyebrow palette from Crown Brush is amazing, and at £19.99 it's a complete bargain. Their concealer palette is really good so I would definitely love to try this out. Also the cover is leopard print so that is another reason to have it! You can buy it from Crown Brush.

Karla Powell - Lip Brushes
Lastly is these lip brushes. They are from Karla Powell the make up artist who has done the make up for the latest  Jane Iredale campaign. She has also done Katie Price's make up on a few occasions. I'm dying to get these brushes and at £15 for the three brushes it's good value. You don't have to use all three for your lips, you can also use them for filling in your eyebrows. I definitely suggest you check out Karla's Instagram, she has some amazing looks.

So there you have it for my wishlist, there are probably other things to go on it but at the minute I can not think of them.

Cheltenham Ladies Day #ColourMeMarch

I was given the fantastic opportunity yesterday from Etail PR to write a blog post about what I'd wear to Cheltenham Ladies Day to promote #ColourMeMarch.

What is #ColourMeMarch I hear you ask?
In 2015 Cheltenham Racecourse is looking to bring colour to the festival. From the hats to the shoes even your nails, its all about colour this Ladies Day. For the first time ever colour at The Festival will be celebrated judged via social media only.

It's all about colour, fun and sharing what you're wearing.

To promote #ColourMeMarch I have been asked to pick an outfit that I would wear to ladies day.

This dress is from a lovely little boutique in my town called Spoilt Belle. At £130 it's quite steep but it's such a beautiful dress. I have admired it in their window and on their Facebook page. It would be so flattering and you would get loads of wear out of it.

I had a pair of shoes picked out then my sister showed me these beauties and I was sold.

They are from The Outnet and are down from £180 to £81, what a bargain! I think the hot pink would really compliment the dress. The chunky heel would be great as they wouldn't sink in the mud and they would be nice and comfy.

This lovely jacket is from New Look and a bargain at £24.99. This would finish off the outfit nicely and it would be light enough so that you would not have too many layers on and then be too warm.

I think all together this outfit would be lovely and it be stylish enough to hit Ladies Day at Cheltenham.

Lipstick Loves

If you haven't already guessed I have a slight obsession with lipstick so I thought it was about time I did a blog post on my favourites. I had planned to do my top five but it was impossible to pick just five so I limited myself to ten and even that was hard!

First up is probably my most worn colour as it seems to go with everything. Its from Seventeen' Stay Pout range which is available in Boots costing only £4.49. This lipstick is in the shade Rule Breaker.

As you can see from the swatch it's a lovely raspberry colour. It is both a pink and a red so it goes with everything. The staying power of this lipstick is so good and the pigment is fantastic.

This is definitely in my top three, and also in my monthly favourites this month which you can read here. This is Mystic from Sleek which you can purchase in Boots and Superdrug for £4.99

Sleek lipsticks come in a range of matte and sheen finishes. Mystic is a matte colour and I think that's why I love it so much. As you can see it is the most amazing colour. It doesn't dry the lips out and lasts a lifetime. When it does eventually wear off it doesn't wear off all patchy which is great. I'm nearly finished this lipstick and have already bought a replacement I love it that much.

These Revlon Colorburst lipsticks are amazing. They have a matte and sheen in each colour and obviously I picked the matte ones over the sheen. They have great staying power and are really hydrating. They also have a nice minty smell which is nice when applying it. This is in the colour Shameless. they are £7.99 and are available in Boots.

As you can see this is quite a vivid purple and I was so wary of trying it when I first seen it but I finally bit the bullet and give it a go. I team this with a dark berry lip liner all over the lip and it makes a lovely dark purple colour. The only thing I will say about this is that because it's a darker colour it wears off badly. Its almost like I've been on a red wine bender which is never a good look!

This is also a Revlon Colorburst lipstick in the matte finish and it's in the shade Elusive. This is about as natural a lip as I'm ever going to get as I love coloured lipsticks.

As you can see from the swatch it's a lovely rosey pink colour, I've seen it described as 'your lips just a better shade' which is the perfect description for it. It's a lovely colour on, it's a nude without the foundation lips look.

This is definitely high up there in my favourites list. Everyone needs a statement red lipstick in their collection and this is mine. It's from the Kate Moss Rimmel collection and surprise surprise it's a matte finish. This is a steal at £5.49.

I had been looking for this colour for so long but could never find the right shade and also in a matte finish so when I came across this I was a happy bunny. This is the perfect red to make a statement with. It has a fantastic staying power but the only downside to it is that it has quite a grainy feel when applying it although it doesn't feel grainy on your lips.  I can deal with the graininess to have this amazing colour. One I will definitely be repurchasing when it runs out.

Shock horror it's not a matte lipstick! This is Maybelline Color Sensational lipstick in the shade Hot Plum and it's £6.99.

As you can see it is a vivid pink with a purpley base. I have a few of these colours from this range and every one of them is highly pigmented. They are so creamy and they go on really nice. They also smell amazing, it kind of reminds me of play doh. I would definitely recommend trying some of these colours. You will need to re-apply during the day but they do stain your lips slightly so after wearing off you still have a slight colour in your lips.

This is Mac Cyber, its a satin finish. It costs £15.50. This wouldn't be an everyday lipstick and definitely wouldnt be to everyone's taste.

This is a very dark purple. I had wanted this for so long and after getting money for Christmas I decided to treat myself. I was so excited when I seen the postman delivering this I couldn't wait to get wearing it. The first time I wore it I was so disappointed, it had no staying power and wore off badly! So the next time I wore it I coloured my whole lips with lip liner first and that made such a difference! It's definitely a colour you would wear with subtle eye makeup but when it's on its so nice.

This is one of my newer purchases but I fell in love with it as soon as I swatched it at the Mac counter in Debenhams. This is also a satin finish and it's called Pink Nouveau.

This is a mid toned pink that is very wearable. It's quite a bold colour but not so bold that its like "look at me over here with my pink lipstick on". The satin finishes are so nice as they are really creamy and are quite matte with a hint of gloss. When buying this I was told that this one of Mac's bestsellers and I'm not in the least surprised. It is the kind of colour anyone could wear whether dark or fair skinned, definitely a must have for any of you lipstick fans out there.

This is one of the most amazing cosmetics companies out there. Lime Crime is the company you need if you are looking lip colours that are different than the rest. You can get this from Cocktail Cosmetics for £12.50 it's in the shade Airborne Unicorn. The packaging is amazing and you will always find it at the bottom of your handbag. Plus there's a unicorn on the packaging; everyone needs unicorns in their life!

This is the creamiest lipstick I own and its super pigmented as you can see. I always wear this as an ombre lip teamed with a dark purple lip liner and it's my go to lip colour nearly every time I'm going out. I want a couple more of the colours from this brand as they are such good quality, I may add them to my ever expanding wish list!

Last but not least is not one for the faint hearted. It's also from Lime Crime and it's a liquid lipstick. It's in the shade Red Velvet and is also available from Cocktail Cosmetics for £13.50.

This is super pigmented and it takes a few goes to perfect. Its goes on as a liquid and dries to a matte finish. They say not to use a primer or to line your lips but I do both. As this is so matte its quite drying on the lips if you have not used primer or lip balm on them before hand and you definitely need to line the lips so they will have definition. I have this and the pink velvet and they are amazing. I'm dying to get my hands on Utopia, Pansy and Cashmere so I might have to make a wee order with Lime Crime soon.

So there you have it for my ten favourite lipsticks, they are not in any order as that's asking the impossible. I would love to hear everyones must haves when it comes to lipsticks; it might give me a few to add to my list of wants!
