Being a tourist

This week I paid a visit to The Giants Causeway for the first time in years. It's amazing what beautiful tourist attractions we have right on our doorstep. I love hearing the history behind places like this and when we were there we were talking about the Irish Myth of Finn McCool when my friend told me she didn't know this story. I thought everyone knew the story of Finn McCool and The Giants Causeway which got me thinking how many of you out there don't know the story?
Anyone who knows me knows that I'm terrified of heights so The Giants Causeway probably isn't the best place for me to go on a day out! We climbed the rocks and I climbed higher than I expected to and when I realized how high I was I got a bit panicky but once I got back to a 'safe' spot I was fine. We then went and walked the cliff path which super scary. Me and my friend looked at the 162 steps at the bottom of the hill and said we definitely weren't doing them but when we got up to where they started we decided to be brave and battled them. Now we kept our heads down the whole time going up so we couldn't see over the cliff edge but we managed to make it up to the top and were so proud of ourselves!
We then went to refuel in Shenanigans and had a lovely meal followed by an amazing ice cream in Morelli's

This week I found out Scandal season 3 is on Netflix and I got slightly excited, I love Scandal. Even after three series the show still has great story lines and never fails to shock me when the show ends on a cliffhanger. Scandal is an American political thriller starring Kerry Washington. Kerry Washington's character, Olivia Pope is a former aide of the American President and the show focuses on Olivia's crisis management firm; Olivia Pope & Associates, as well as staff at the White House. It's definitely worth a watch and I'm glad to hear series four is starting on TV soon too.

I'm doing the colour run in a few weeks and have been so lazy when it comes to the gym and eating healthily for the past month so tomorrow I'm back on game and going to push myself. It really is easier said than done but as someone recently said to me "you never come out of the gym wishing you hadn't went" which is so true. So positive thinking and healthy eating from here on in (as I scoff the last of my chilli heatwave doritos).
